BibScan Project   

The Bibliocentre has committed to providing the colleges with the ability to get their acquisitions not obtained through the Bibliocentre, catalogued and itemized as quickly as possible. To this end, the Bibliocentre has initiated and completed what we call the BibScan project.

Research Awareness Project

The objective of the Research Awareness Project is to faciliate searches of
library internet databases.  Specifically, a web 'bot is being developed
which will go out and search various library internet databases for
information requested by the user.  The results of the searches will be
compiled in a single electronic file which will be available for the user
to review over the internet.  The web bot will work overnight, when systems
are quiet and demand is low. Each user will have an internet 'channel' or a
special web page where they can review their search results. The user will
be informed that the database search has been completed via e-mail, via
special 'gleam' symbols on the channel icons shown on their computer
screens or via changes to their computer screen savers.
